Do you feel the excitement building in the air? Hear the rustle of tulle? Smell the most delicate traces of Chanel No 5?
This can only mean one thing….It's Met Gala season :)
The first Monday in May, often regarded as the swankiest night of the year, is the one night a year when the upper echelons of the fashion community come together to celebrate the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit.
Here is a round-up of my best dressed from the 2018 Met Gala red carpet:

This year's theme, "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," did not disappoint. The exhibit itself is meant to highlight the deeply rooted relationship between religion and fashion. Not only does this exhibit have pieces from the likes of Chanel, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and Dior, but it also contains over 50 works from the Vatican's own collection including the Tiara of Pius IX and the Mitre of Pius XI. What makes this collection even more unique is that most of the papal pieces haven't ever been viewed outside of the Vatican before.
Some of my favorites from the exhibit include the Dolce & Gabbana micro-mosaic garments which drew inspiration from the interiors of Byzantine churches.
