Time is such a funny thing.

Somehow two years have passed since our wedding day, yet it feels more like a blink of an eye.
I can still feel those antsy butterflies of excitement as I lay in bed pretending to sleep and willing the time to pass faster so I could start getting ready for our wedding day.
I can still smell the sweet scent of the peonies in my bouquet.
I can still feel that overwhelming sense of calm and comfort my mother and I had together as she helped me slip into my dress.
I can still see the look of excitement, surprise and pure joy as my bridesmaids saw me in my dress for the first time.
I can still feel that rush of agitation when I heard that the boys were running late because they needed to fuel up with a last minute pit stop at Raising Canes (insert eye roll here).
I can still hear my dad's warm laugh as he wrapped me into the biggest hug after our first look.
But more than anything, I can still see the twinkle in Nic's eye as he grabbed my hand for our first dance. Surrounded by a room full of people, in that moment, I was all that mattered. We were all that mattered.
No matter how you quantify the time, May 21st, 2016 was (and will probably forever be) the best day ever.
